You know your waiting for a missionary when....

A missionary's girl is an odd object: She can get lonesome, discouraged, and temporarily lose faith in the whole missionary system. No one else can write such cheerful letters in such a rotten mood. No one else can get such a thrill at the end of the day by the words, "Why yes, there is a letter for you."
So lately I have noticed more and more how pathetic my life is while waiting for my missionary in Las Vegas.. So I decided to make a funny list of things that have happened and I am sure will continute to happen until he comes home in April 2012.

So here's the list...
you know your waiting for a missionary when...
*You call Domino's pizza on a friday night and they know exactly what you are going to order and don't even ask for your name

*You are obsessed with the mailbox, mailman, stamps, letters, packages and any other form of the United States Postal Service
*You get really angry when the mail man doesn't bring you a letter even when you know it is not letter day
*On P-day's (which are Monday's) you get on 2 hours before your elder emails and click refresh every 5 min just to see if his email will appear
*You have an endless supply of stickers to put on your sad,
super pathetic countdown until Elder Liddiard comes home!!! p.s. it is in 235 days!! =)
*All of your stories start with "well my missionary and I"
*You have had your wedding planed from the day he left..
*You don't listen to what anybody has to say about "2 years is a long time" or "a lot can happen in 2 years"
*You know that another day without seeing your elder really means one day closer to seeing him!
*** Missing someone gets easier everyday because eventhough its one day further from the last time you saw each other, its one day closer to the next time you will...*** Unknown-
* You elder commits you to make new goals every week and always asks can I do anything for you =)
*You are trying to grow spiritualy as well and worrying that your elder will be WAY more spiritual than you.
*You always try to talk about the scriptures and bear your testimony in letters!
These are just a few funny things that go on while waiting for my Elder Benjamin Isaac Liddiard. I sure do love him! I am so proud of him and he really is amazign =) I know that the past 16 and a half months have gone by somewhat fast and I am hoping the next 7 1/2 months will too =)

8 months and 3 weeks.. but who's counting?
Only 8 months and 3 weeks until I get to see Benjamin!! But who's counting right??!
I think I am beginning to drive my self insane counting down! But it seems like all I can do to not count! It is so hard!!! I am working full time at the Assisted Living Center and I have about 5 different positions that I do there and if that doesn't seem like it's enough I am still teaching 10 adorable, crazy, fun kids the piano.
So even with all of this I still find a lot of extra
Well an update on Elder Benjamin Liddiard:
He is doing good! He is still in Reno with the same companion. Elder Stevens and him are working hard as Zone Leaders. I know they are trying to be good examples and be good leaders and I know that Ben sure is! I am so proud of him =) He is still missing Vegas a lot. But he is enjoying Reno as well! =)

So I got in a car crash about 3 weeks ago. =/ It wasn't fun but the

I love my Missionaries!!
Well Life is going good! I finally finished school a couple weeks ago and am so glad to have the summer off to just work! I am getting my CNA this week and am so excited about that! I love working with the elderly and helping them!
Elder Liddiard is doing great! He is in Reno and is still adjusting and missing Vegas a little but that is expected since he was there for the first year of his mission! Ben and his companion (Elder Steven's) are having a lot of success and are still looking for people to bring the happy message of our heavenly father too!
This week I have really realized how important missionaries are! Missionaries are the tools in the Lord's hands! He is shaping and forming these young men and women into the people they are going to be for the rest of their lives! I am so grateful for the gospel and the missionaries that are sacrificing so much more than just 2 years of their lives! I am especially grateful for my little brother who is serving in Paraguay and my amazing best friend who is in Las Vegas! It is so true that missionaries really are called by God to preach his word! Ben's favorite scripture is
"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." At once they left their nets and followed him. Mark 1:16-18

The gospel is true no matter where you are! We can all be fisher's of men and we can all do our part and follow him!

Transfers!!
Well another 6 weeks have gone by so that means another transfer. Ben was so excited for this transfer to finally come. He loves being in Vegas but was ready for a change. He has been in the Vegas area for 13 months now so he was sure happy to find out he would be going up north to Reno. He is going to be in the Reno North Zone as Zone Leader. He is such a great missionary and I know that I am sure proud of him! =) He is working so hard and is helping so many people.
Well life with me is going good. Melissa and Tracen bought a house in Kaysville and I am living with them for a while! It is such a cute house! It has six bedrooms and three bathrooms and is so beautiful! I am so happy for them! I am just about finished with school for the sememster and am going to take the summer off! I am so excited to just work and not worry about classes for a while!
Well Ben is suppossed to be sending me some pictures this week..Finally..So I will post them soon!

11 Months Left!
Ok So I finally decided to make a blog for my missionary =) Don't worry he has only been out 13 months now. But Benjamin still has 11 more months until he comes home so I will start his blog now.
Benjamin Isaac Liddiard is in the Las Vegas West Mission and loving every minute of it. He is such a hard worker and has been blessed with such great success while being a missionary. Right now Ben is Zone Leader in the Lone Mountain area. They have had a lot of success in that area travel to Indiana Springs a lot which is a ways away. He is with a Polynesian companion named Elder Pome'e right now and having too much fun! =) I am so proud of him for everything that he has done and the amazing missionary that he is! Only 11 more months until I can see him again =)
